FONS - The Friends of Nassington School

This weeks prayer:  For all the families connected with the school, particularly those who may be having problems of one sort or another. We pray for those difficulties we know about, and also those which are not known to us.

School Rewards

At Nassington School we believe that praise and support are vital to support a child’s progress across all areas of his or her school life.

We reward children with ‘stampers’ and each class uses the STAR system, where children get rewarded for the following:

Special Effort
Thoughtfulness
Achievement
Representing the school

In Foundation Class, ‘stampers’ are collective during the autumn and spring Terms and go towards a whole class reward. In Class 2 and 3 and Foundation Class in the summer Term, each ‘stamper’ goes towards something they will collect in achievement assembly as an acknowledgement and reward of what they have done.

10 rewards    A Pencil

Additionally, Headteacher awards are given half termly to those children who have made outstanding contributions to the life of the school.

School Rules and Sanctions

In the same way that we have rewards, we also have sanctions which we put in place for behaviour that goes against the School Charter and/or classroom rules. These are explained to the children before being put into place. Sanctions only move from one stage to the next if continuously poor behaviour is shown. Sanctions are not carried over from one day to another.
